Default Sudden pull while driving

while driving at freeway speeds, my car has started to pull suddenly for a second or so. Almost like it's catching a rut or a strong wind. Feels really loose during this time. Sometimes it will then seem to over correct and pull back in the other direction. Is this possibly a power steering issue? It doesn't happen consistently/continuously so can't think it's an alignment/tire issue.

Thoughts?

does it feel like if your tire grabbed a crack in the road and follows it? A common fix is getting the steering bushings replaced with Daizen's. Could also be your sway bar bushings as well. To check steering bushings, raise car have someone inside turn your wheels back and forth. Watch your rack and see if its sliding back and forth, if so that can be part or the whole issue. Alignment, well gotta put it on a machine for that. Since its not consistent, may not be alignment, but may be the beginnings of bushings of the sort going bad.

yeah, definitely feels like when the tire grabs a crack or rut. Pretty loose at times too where it feels like maybe some play in the steering and it moves on its own.

I'll jack it up and check the steering and sway bar bushings. It'd due for an alignment so i'll get that done as well too. Thanks!

Any other thoughts please send them my way. 105k miles so there could be plenty LOL.

checked last night and looks like there's about a 1/4" of movement in the rack. Ordered the steering bushings from TM so hopefully that does the trick. Thanks for the assistance jokster

Just to update, I received the parts a couple of weeks ago (it took 3 emails to get a response from TM regarding order status) and installed them. Wife says it drives like a new car and I agree. More importantly, that sudden pull seems to have been fixed. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction jokster.

Man, this sucks. I want to get steering bushings but I've only been hearing horror stories about TM lately.

check this out, awhile ago (i forgot bout it till today) i did the leg work and called/emailed all the other listed daizen dealers (from daizens website) and i posted what all the dealers said in this post, so here are some other places to get them besides sewell (as they showing them to still be backordered per their website) and tm (who like always it seems is hit and miss on shipping)
