Default Battery died, charged, no locks and alarm going off

So my car sat for one week and the battery died. I pulled out my trusty charger and charged the battery enough that it would start. The car starts fine on it's own now but there are problems.

I noticed that the fuel low light was on even with an almost full tank. Also only the door lights came on and not the interior lights when I opened the door. Then I realized the door locks were not working at all, even from inside the car.

I decided to close the hood and give it another go. Same thing... at that point I popped the hood back open and now the alarm goes off and my key does nothing. Tried putting the key in the ignition, even starting the car. Nothing seems to work.

I ended up pulling the battery off again and now it sits in the driveway waiting.

Is there a simple solution to this?

To answer the question before it's asked... no I did NOT hook up the charging terminals reversed.

Had similar problem to my battery as well. Took it to autozone for a battery test. To find out that it was'nt takeing any charge. End up replaceing it to a Optima yellow top $180.

Go get it tested.

Unhappy

Ok... bought a new battery and after installing, alarm went off but when I let the car run for 10 minutes, it stopped.

HOWEVER... a lot of things still don't work, as follows;

Remote opening/closing doors (it beeps like it's locking but doesn't)
Power locks
Climate Control (screen is there but all greyed out and no buttons respond)
Fuel light flashing (with a full tank)
Power mirrors
Steering wheel auto tilt (although I can adjust it with the switch)
Windows only work from switches on individual door, not from drivers control
Dome lights work manually but not when doors open
Seat memory

I have manually checked every fuse I could find with a multimeter and the all test good.

I am SO baffled.

Not that I am aware of. I bought the car as it is and use the stock key.

I've done some digging and found a few old threads with people who have a almost the exact same problem but they never post how/if they resolved it.

Nope.. put the multimeter on it and it's as it should be.

Add to the list that everytime I pop the hood now, the alarm goes off.

14.1 volts right after starting, settles down into the low 13 range.

Something similar happened to my SC300. Try manually unlocking the door with your key, (ie. put the key into the key hole and turn it, not trying to be funny, just trying to be real specific). That worked for me.

Take the car to Lexus of Rockville Centre & pay the one hundred or so dollars diagnostic fee to find out what the true problem is. This beats the time & money wasting guessing game.. I will be there this Saturday for a coolant flush

I had tried and now retried unlocking the doors manually with both of my keys a dozen times.

Dashocker... having been cut to three days a week at my job (company wide cut) right now $100 seems like $10,000.

I just don't get how the battery dying could do this unless an ECU needs to be reset some how.

To make life even more fun, whenever I pop the hood, the alarm goes off. Ugh
