Many owners might not know that they can adjust their side mirrors to automatically tilt-down to an owner chosen position when in reverse...and up to three different reverse tilt-down settings (for multiple drivers and/or conditions) can be memorized along with the three seat position memories.
To set the reverse side mirror tilt-down position - crank-up the car and put it into Reverse and then adjust the two side mirrors to how you like them for when you back-up. When the car is put back into Drive the two side mirrors will move back to the position you have chosen for normal driving. Be sure to save the setting into your seat memory... Also, if you would like to set a different setting (e.g. dedicated for parallel parking next to a curb) you can set a different (2nd) tilt-down position and save it to a different seat memory.
Make sure the L or R button on the mirror control is lit up to activate the tilt down backup feature.
I set my tilt down so it tilts down to be able to see my rear wheels so while backing up to a curb i wont scratch my rims. Just another great Lexus 4GS feature.

Good point on the lit button here, if you have any of these lit up and dont adjust the mirrors when reversing, both mirrors will point down quite low when backing up which may not be optimal! Turn it off to keep the mirrors in place when reversing.
