When I got my GSF the front CF lip was chipped , and then a few days ago while parking i hit a parking stop cracking the lip and destroying it . I looked online and saw that its close to $5k for a new one ! Went to a local body shop , they were able to salvage the lip , all chips are gone , they were able to put back most of the carbo , only area that isnt 100% is under which cant be seen . All for $300 . Wanted to share incase other have damage and want to have it redone as well. And yes they used resin to repair and also put 2 coats of clear on it . I attached a video to show how it looks now.

Why is Lexus CF so expensive? $5K for that piece is ridiculous

 

where are you located?

 

My guess is it maybe hand made? Either way, i found some dealers selling them for $3600.

 

That and its a very low volume part.
