Default Square Setup

Recently got an awesome set of 19x10 RCF square wheels from @theman . Debating between staggering the tires, or running square tires also --
  • 265/35/19 front / 285/35/19 rear (+1 size up which is common)
  • 295/30/19 all around square, not sure how the front would fit given it's a 19x10 wheel in the front with 26" of rubber diameter.
  • 275/30/19 front / 295/30/19
  • 285/30/19 square (highest you can get for all seasons could also be an option)

Few RC-F owners claim they even run 275/35/19 square, for track use on stock square wheels and stock ride height. Not sure how that would translate to full lock city driving.

Car is primarily for daily driving, I don't track. I don't care for thread comments on min/maxing center of gravity, roll center, wheel base increase causing steering response loss/gain. All of those things don't matter to much to me on a car that drives the speed limit on the highway, 99% of the time. Curb protection, pothole protection from tire height, and overall ability to rotate 4 wheels on a square setup are appealing to me.

Given your priorities, square 275 35 19 would be my choice, tough may or may not rub fender lining on full turn

skipetenj Got away with it but this is possibly due to the 19x9.5 +43 wheel. Compared to the 19x10 +41 wheel i'd be running in front. I believe 265/35/19 might be as tall as it can go before it starts rubbing into the mud guard on city full lock driving.

agreed Onist. As I've found out and we discussed 275/35r19 is too tall and rubs at the front.

265/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear would be my choice. A 285/35/19 rear is pretty tall at 27 inches. I'm not sure how that would look since the 275/35/19 is already pretty tall at 26.6.

295/30/19 on a 10 inch wheel won't do you any good. A 295 needs a 10.5 or 11 inch wide wheel to make the most of that width.

^^^^When I had my ISF I ran a 295/30 on the rear on RCF wheels. Hooked up pretty nice for me

Not all 295s are created equal. For instance a Toyo R888R has an 11.3 inch wide treadwidth while a Hankook Ventus has a 10.5 inch wide tread width. That Ventus may be fine on a 10 inch rim but a 10 inch rim with the R888R would be undersized.
