I unfortunately scratched the bottom of my GS F a few hours ago. I was pulling into a parking lot and did not notice how steep it was until I heard the scrape. I wanted to get your opinion on what you would do. I could leave it as is since it is under the car for the most part, have it buffed to help somewhat, or have it fixed 100%. Would a scratch like this really hurt the resell? Thank you -- I appreciate your thoughts. Attached are some pics.
You can buy bumper guards on the bottom of the car. They just stick on. My other car has them screwed on.
I don't think it would affect the sale of the car. When I looked at dealership cars I would always check the bottom of the bumper to see if there were scratches. If there were, it was a sign that the owner wasn't careful sometimes. It wouldn't affect my decision, but it was a sign. Also, you could no longer claim it to be 'like new'.
