Is anyone else annoyed when reading reviews on any Lexus model where comments are often made in regards to the "Bad Infotainment" system?
I feel that there are far worse systems out there. Like anything, it just takes a bit to get used to. I have never had an issue with my '15 GS 350 or my '16 GS F. I can find anything that I need and use it without an issue. It took me a few minutes to learn where things are within each menu item. Not a big deal at all.
I know that it's far from perfect and could be improved. Faster processing, updated functionality, etc.
I just feel that Lexus is getting a bad rap for something that is not as bad as it may seem. I've driven recent models from Infinity, BM-trouble-you and Mercedes. I did not feel that they were superior in functionality and accessibility.
Thanks for listening - reading. Hope all is well and safe driving to all.

Agreed. I use it with no issues. Every time I hear it in a review, it just seems like bias. That if this magazine hates it, then we as journalists must hate it too. It’s not the best, but it’s not terrible as they make it out to be.

^I agree. I also noticed that the same ‘influencers’ dislike the analog clock. I love it.
Agree!!!!! And none of those reviewers ever have enough knowledge of the system to state that you can set the resistance/speed of the mouse to further ease how YOU can best operate the system. I love how the screen is also recessed into the dash and does not look like some wannabe tablet/ipad thingy sticking straight up in the air.
Coming from Mercedes' single **** oriented command system, the GSF was a bit awkward at first. After two weeks of use and knowledge - no problem. Reviewers never get to live with the car and the Lexus system is not the most intuitive to a new user. Now, take Cadillac's attempt at CUE, with touch sensitive, haptic feedback, buttons and that kept me from buying a 3rd gen CTS-V. For me, CUE was truly difficult to use and to use quickly.

It's fine. Just wish it had Google Maps. I bluetooth stream the music and then just worry about driving.
I was at a car meet yesterday and a guy showed me an infotainment system addon he purchased and installed on his GS F Sport, it's called Grom Vline. I had only heard of beat sonic, which I did not want as you lose your steering wheel controls.
With VLine you lose no functionality and gain google maps, waze, youtube and other apps from android market and is displayed on your car's system directly to the screen so it's a completely separate system from your phone. It uses internet through your phone's hotspot or a mobile hotspot device.

I work as a Delivery Specialist at a Lexus dealership and I’ve found that the infotainment system really isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be. It’s not the easiest thing to navigate at first but it’ gets a lot easier to use the more you play with it. I think if people took the time to play with their cars the Lexus infotainment system wouldn’t get trashed so much in reviews.
I'm not a huge fan of the infotainment, but it's good enough for the most part. I either stream bluetooth or just toss in a USB flash drive with MP3s. I make sure that the MP3's are copied properly, otherwise they don't display properly. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that Toyota / Lexus wants to keep their infotainment VERY secure, which is probably why we don't see a lot of options such as Android auto. I have seen Apple Car Play, so I know that they are caving to what the people want. I think once you mess with it for a while, it gets better.
