Default What do you think its worth

So I am thinking about selling my 2016 Lexus GSF the car will be going back to stock but I am not parting out the car yet so please do not message me because I will not reply to them. So my questions are that there are hardly any Ultra whites out there for sale with 8K miles on them. The whole car is wrapped in PPF Suntek and also has Ceramic Pro on the PPF, ceramic 40% window tint, and also chrome around the window has been wrapped in black. What do you think this car is worth? Im thinking about getting a 2017 GTR or a 2015 GT3.

If you put it back to stock see if you can get $58 large for it and then come down. I think these cars are going to hold their values more since they will no longer be made.

2016s are routinely selling for mid 50s with 4K-7K miles on them. Get an MMR/Edmunds valuation and you'll get an idea of where they sit if you were to trade it in. You will obviously get more if you sell directly to a buyer than if you trade it in.

Dealers will give you exactly ZERO money for any and all mods including PPF. Private sell is your best best.

Buyer's will be referencing data for an objective perspective and, assuming they're not paying cash, for loan purposes. TexasLexii made good point and Edmunds TMV is as fine a place to start as is BlackBook, BlueBook, and NADA. Once you amass those points, you'll have a good idea for a private party transaction and then (more than likely) you'll watch those prices drop $200 to $500 each month thereafter as it reprices based on demand and depreciation. If your buyer is using traditional auto financing, the lender will not value (or allow allow additional funding for) tint, PPF, ceramic, etc. - so they will have to come up with cash to cover that value or you'll need to lower your price. You have a beautiful ride - good luck!

Old man is a finance manager at a large ford dealer, they do not use KBB/NADA as those were bought out by others who are in the advertising business (Autotrader owns KBB and JD power owns NADA) so the valuations are tremendously skewed (read: bought and sold for). They use Mannheim and their MMR (mannheim market report) and sometimes Edmunds since its still private and not as biased.

Definitely take everything off, you'll be better off selling all your add-ons separately (dibs on the Novel headers if you have them, and might want the rear novel diffuser as well)

From a pure pricing perspective and working with cash buyers - totally agree. Unfortunately, my last private sale was impacted by NADA because the credit union was still using it for lending purposes. With the buyer needing financing, it ultimately impacted the transaction price. MMR has the most comprehensive pricing information but I've only had access via login. The same used to be true with BlackBook but a they started making their information available through 3rd party sites. Do you have a public facing link to MMR?

Best,
Eric

I have access to MMR but I think MMR is a joke because they takes all the sales of what they sell then that determines what the avg price. Also I have checked cargurus.com and etc and they are prices anywhere from low $50k to $62k. Also there are hardly any white ones for sale lots of black, silver, and blue ones so I'm guessing the white ones are maybe worth more?

Unfortunately those are the rules of the game if you trade it in, you'll get MMR from a dealer.

I really think once you get back to stock it'll sell but maybe not for what you'd want. The low mileage helps, but right now, the weather is going to turn, not the best time to sell a car. Might be better off waiting for Spring if you don't want to take too much of a beating. Of course, I don't know where you are located, so maybe the weather is still going to be good out by you. I would toss the car on eBay with a reserve of $55K and see what happens. If you can get $53K-$55K take it.

Take off the mods, part those out. Sell the car privately and get in the $57-$59k range.

I personally think the 2016’s hold more value to an enthusiast ( fixed suspension and tuneable ecu).
