Happy news. The wiring is present in the wife's '16 GS F. I just validated it and in the process saw what a kluge the illuminated door sills are. Ugly harness hack on the install.

Yay, thanks buddy, appreciate you looking. Guess the mod is back on the plate. First mod I did was install the illum., sills. Wasn't bad, used the included wire taps for ground/power.
I can't really tell you anything about the GSF since I have a GS350 with cold weather package and it came with the heated steering wheel... but I did tear apart the steering wheel and want to share some pictures so it can give you an idea of what is in it.
This is how my steering wheel looked from the factory
Can you post the part number for the control panel that has the heated steering wheel button? Don't know if the button is available by itself or you have to replace the whole assembly that has the ASC/TCM/Auto high buttons.
84308-53020. Runs about $250 all by itself. $550 if you buy it with the sensor. Not sure if you need the sensor matched to the clockspring.
Can you check for me if that part number is the correct one? I am seeing these options
I do have pre-collision, so I assumed it was 8430853040 CABLE SUB-ASSY, SPIRAL 84306 URL10..ARL PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM-WITH(GSP)&STEERING WHEEL-F (W/HEATER) even though it states its for cars built after 9/2017, and does it really matter? Thought they were all identical.
I need to make sure I get the correct one because returns are not accepted on electrical parts.
reviving this old thread.. has anyone successfully done this? its really cold now and i wish i had this feature lol.. i saw on instagram Elvin is playing around with retrofitting the heated steering capability on his custom CF wheels.. but in order to retrofit i'd need to have an extra port on my airbag or something not sure..

No sir, that is incorrect. I asked him about retrofitting heated leather and cant be done, another vendor couldnt do it either.
Were you able to get the heated pads installed into the carbon fiber wheel? I am considering doing the same, i have the new wheel but scared about opening my old wheel and pulling the pads out. Any issues with that process?
