Default Another tire thread?

What are everyone's favorite All-seasons? Where I'm at I get winter weather including snow and ice. I wont be driving this car on the OE pilot super sports, but dont want to be swapping tires back and forth.

Ive been thinking of going to a 40 sidewall up from the OE 35, any suggestions/comments are welcomed.

Thanks everyone.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ is the standard. I switched out the summer tires on my IS for Continental Extremecontact DWS 06. It offered the same or better performance than the stock summer tires, better ride, and all season performance.

Another vote for the Conti DWS and have had three different sets; i.e. other cars. Same situation as yours, specifically cold temps, little snow, and extracting winter performance relative to switching tires means high performance all-seasons for my preferences. The Michelin A/S 3+ is a very good option and would be a toss-up based on pricing.

All that said, IMO the DWS's don't nearly approach Michelin Super Sport performance but for a maximum of 8/10ths driving (periodically/rare), the DWS's or A/S 3's are fine options for some cold temp, light snow protection with longer wear.

Good luck...
Eric

Currently running Michelin A/S3+ in OEM sizes for the exact reasons you stated. Works very well and doesn't significantly compromise performance on the street.

Thanks everyone, I read a ton of reviews on tirerack/discount/other sites and most revolved between the DWS, A/S3+ and Pirelli Pzero AS. Looks like it'll spring for the A/S3+

My IS (see sig) came with Bridgestone Potenza piece of crap summer tires. I never said I had Michelin summer tires.

Ok I guess my response could have implied my IS had Michelin’s. Anyway I meant to say the Michelin A/S gets the highest ratings and is the standard for high performance all season tires.

Hankook Ventus Evo 2's. I just love these tires. Best bang for the buck.

I have a set of winter wheels and tires off my RCF that I'm selling. Basically new Michelin X-Ice XI3 on very nice lightweight Niche wheels. Caliper clearance is key, and these definitely clear. PM me for info.
