Default Is my GSF running rich/lean?

Hey guys just hit the 8k Mile mark on my '16 F (Original Owner). I had the oil changed at 7,500 by dealer, honestly haven't had a chance to check if it was overfilled, but ive noticed lately vapor coming from the tailpipes on hot days which has set off a bit of a red flag. I have had all TSB's done so all 3 fuel pumps were changed by Lexus. My cousin who is a bit of a car junkie says it looks like my car is running a bit rich/lean if vapor is coming from the tailpipes on a hot day and I have also noticed the car has more tendency to have a little burble or exhaust pop lately when slowing down. I don't think its oil burning as its not white, I smelled it and it doesn't really smell like anything.

The car is completely stock no mods or tunes, exhaust or intake. Will have to get it checked out when I have some time, but wanted to get some input from people here. hopefully its nothing too serious.

Put it on a dyno if you have a reasonably priced one. Can see what the a/f is doing

All Lexus cars run richer than their counterparts. That's why their engines run cooler and last longer.
Vapor out of the exhaust tips is not a red flag. Are you smelling any fuel, or are your eyes burning when standing behind the car?

Otherwise, nothing to worry about.

Normal. Whats the humidity like where you're at?

Unless its continuous vapor, then it may be an issue that your dealer could check. But its unlikely running lean given that you have no modifications that will likely alter the a/f ratio. That and the computer system is designed to monitor and adjust a/f ratio when necessary.

Curious where you got this blanket statement and what AF ratios and cars are you talking about?

It takes more than a richer AF ratio to make an engine last longer as there are so many variables involved. A richer AF ratio can also make a car engine last not as long due to fuel dilution of engine oil.

9 Years of running my GS460 on a dyno and having the local Lexus experts try to Force Induce it when no one else has till date.

Our ambient AV temps are above 100F 10 months of the year. Alt at sea level, dense and humid air.
That's all.

Get an OBD Bluetooth adapter along with a phone app such as Torque Pro or OBD Fusion to see what your AFR is (along with any other data worth reviewing such as IAT, ignition timing advance, etc).

Not sure how that explains your experience with your own Lexus translates to all Lexus cars running richer than its counterparts.

Lexus engines are are more reliable than its counterparts for a lot more reasons than running a richer AFR, assuming that is even true.

I'm sure that's true! Thank you for your insight!
