Clicking sound on driver rear side
I recently purchased a 2017 GSF and I've been hearing this clicking noise in the driver rear side. I replicated it a couple times when I was accelerating quickly and putting it in reverse once. It seems to be coming from the wheel so I'm thinking it may just be the rear axle shaft nut. I read that some people just torque them down but I want to see if anyone else has had this problem.

This is what I'm leaning towards and I hope it's as easy as just replacing the nut. Thanks for the help

Another thing to add is it usually only happens when I am pushing the car hard. If I'm driving normally and not being aggressive with the throttle no clicking sound. Also, is there anything in the car that might "engage" when driving more aggressive?

I have the clicking noise too with my 2016 GS F. I saw some people saying it could also be the pads shifting or the sunroof seal, also lol.

Wells boys I went ahead and installed a new cv axle nut and it worked. No more clicking sound! Factory specs say to torque to 214 ft lbs but I may have done a little more with my impact. I wish I recorded it before and after but it was a very obnoxious click sound that would come from the driver side rear wheel. Thankfully don't have to replace the cv axle.

What I find most interesting about this is why does it happen? If they tightened it properly at the factory, this should never happen, but I've heard of this more than once on the F forums (IS and GS), so I'm a bit baffled at how something this tight goes loose over time but only on a very few cars. Most especially because the nut gets staked into a groove on the axle so it can't loosen (or tighten) in service.

I get a sound that sounds like a little rattle sometimes on quick acceleration, but to me it sounds like it comes from behind the middle ac vents or navigation on the dash. Do you think this is similar to the sound you guys are describing?
