2015 GS350 auto dimming rearview mirrors standard?
So i bought my cpo a few months back and its the first lexus ive owned without auto dimming rearview mirrrors. I didnt know i would miss it until ive had this car.
My google fu tells me its standard on all 2015s on page 4 but im still not sure (http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/...specs.download)
so i checked my window sticker and it says “auto-dimming inside / outside rearview mirrrors” under luxury and convenience features.....but my car doesnt have it. How can my car not have it when it is documented on those two things? Am i missing something?
im just curious to know if there are any 2015 owners without auto dimming rearview mirrors before i go to the dealership. Any thoughts, suggestions, annecdotes, theories are appreciated.

You should have it, did you check your manual?

I had it for 2 years before I realized I had them. Very subtle. In the dark, with headlights behind you, turn off the dimming mirror and watch as the exterior mirrors slowly get brighter.

Dark window tinting and/or rear window shade up will decrease the auto dimming effect. Test at night with a flashlight pointed at the interior sensor. You'll easily see if the side mirrors dim.

Quickest way to check the mirror, cover the sensor on the back of the mirror (windshield side) and start the car.
The mirrors will instantly go to full green tint. Uncover the sensor and they will gradually clear. Keep it covered
and press the button(s) and the mirror will clear and re-tint.

Thanks for all the insight. Looks like I don’t have side mirrors that tint. Time to go the dealership and check why it’s idfferent from the window sticker

It's a CPO, so go request a warranty repair. Remember, auto-dimming mirrors are standard, so you have that feature... they're just not operating as intended.

The outside mirror glass is frightfully expensive when equipped with both heater elements and the AutoChromatic feature.
A regular glass face for an IS or CT is $110...not the whole housing...the glass. The GS glass is $440. Perhaps one or
both of the OP's mirrors were replaced. On a more positive note, perhaps they were replaced, incorrectly and just need
a wire attached.

Just to update evryone on this.
They said my rear window tint is too dark so it activates the inside rear view mirror but nor the side ones. They said it was working just fine.
I cant duplicate it but at this point im pretty fed up with my car lol.

How dark is your tint? I have 15% all around and my auto dimming rear view and side mirrors function normally.

Did the dealer just throw a convenient excuse at you, or did they actually test the mirrors to ensure they are indeed working?

No idea. They came with the car when i bought it CPO. They did test the mirrors, the service advisor is a family friend, he wouldnt lie to me. They told they tested by holding a flashlight up the sensor while covering the sensor on the otherside.
