Gs350 Takeda oil air intake strange thing
I bought the takeda oil air intake system and install it step by step with a help of specialist. I realized that after installation, when I apply full throttle acceleration and when the car reach to 5,8-6 RPM it start cutting off "like if I release the acceleration pedal and hit it again repeatedly" it keep doing it till it reach the limit "6,8 RPM" and change the gear normally and doing it again in every time reach 5,8-6 RPM. I reinstalled the factory air intake and the problem gone.
The vehicle doesn't show any check engine light.
it does what you have seen in the video from 3rd gear and on. In 4th gear the Car start cutting "and sometime lag and stop accelerating for 1-2 second" from 5,8 RPM and continue till the rev limiter and change the gear "but it keep cutting till reach the rev limiter and change gear normally". If I re-install the factory intake this problem disappear completely. Also notice that the car in the drive mode (D) which will not allow it to reach the rev limiter.
The car in the video start with the 2ns gear. Ut notice the 3rd gear. Any one know the reason?

Throw the aftermarket stuff in the trash before you lose a piston! =) From what I recall, you don't get any performance improvement switching away from the factory airbox, only a modest improvement switching to a different intake tube with the stock airbox, and at least in your case, now have a couple of sick horses in your team with the new hardware.

Sounds to me like the engine is detonating and pulling timing to save itself. Likely the airflow sensor is reading too low of a value with the new intake so you have more air in the cylinder than the computer is expecting. That additional air allows the fuel to explode chaotically instead of "gently" and progressively igniting.
Throw the aftermarket stuff in the trash before you lose a piston! =) From what I recall, you don't get any performance improvement switching away from the factory airbox, only a modest improvement switching to a different intake tube with the stock airbox, and at least in your case, now have a couple of sick horses in your team with the new hardware.

What is confusing me, that this sport intake is designed especially for GS350 from afe power company and I know some people who intalled it and didn't face this issue.
i really don't know. U scared me with the piston stuff and I'm thinking of throwing it in trash 😂😕

FYI - Even with the transmission in Manual the transmission will automatically upshift at redline. You can start off in M1 at WOT and the car will upshift through the gears.

The computer is designed to not throw a check engine light immediately. The problem needs to occur for a certain amount of time before the light will come on but if you have a capable OBD scanner ghost codes may show up. Ghost codes are "pending" meaning the computer recognizes an issue but it's not ready to alert the driver of the issue just yet because it might have fixed itself or it was a false alarm. I would check to make sure first off you have the MAF sensor installed facing the same direction as in the factory intake. And also try getting a MAF sensor cleaner and see if that makes a difference. the Takeda isn't large enough of an intake to cause any significant damage to your engine internals. Something is giving your computer a bad reading and causing it to hit the RPM limit early.

OP..are you located in the USA? It could be that the location you live requires other limiters that none of us here (USA) would ever have to deal with. Just a WAG.

How can I get the MAF cleaner and how does it look like? And is the MAF sensor expensive if I decide to replace it with new one?

How do u clean ur MAF sensor? Do u think the dry filter head can be installed in the black tube?

Actually I bought the oil intake for two reason, we r in very hot area and dusty in summer so the oil intake is good in filtering, and it came with the black tube that is better than Aluminum in very hot weather.

and yes it will fit. It's the same exact intake just powder coated black with oiled filter

Guys this is to update you after almost 6k km driving with the Takeda intake.
In the morning when I tried full acceleration the car act normall but when the car got heated or the weather became hot it start doing it "lagging or cutting off"
also I tried full acceleration and discovered something, the car cannot exceed 200-210 km with this intake, while it was used to reach the limit (245km). The car basiccly change the gear to 8th and take rest after reach 200-210 km.
I even tried ro change the MAF sensor with new one with no improvement.
Im really very close to throw this intake in the trash, I Cannot figure out where is the problem!! Is it need programming? Or maybe mechanical failure somewhere or sensor????
