Hello everyone,
I am FINALLY in a position to replace my aging 2003 Lexus GS430. I have looked at all the options on the Lexus site, and I want a GS350 like this:
2017 GS350
AWD or RWD, doesn't matter
MUST HAVE Packages:
1) Luxury Package
2) Mark Levinson Sound

I will consider other options as well, but the above are must haves.
I do NOT want White or Black exterior colors.
I do NOT want the F-Sport package.

Now, I have search dealer inventories in Virginia, and some surrounding states. I cannot find any GS350 with the Luxury package at ALL.
Why is this package so difficult to find? Does anyone else out there have it?

I contacted the local dealer. He says I must special order, which will take 4 months, according to them. Has anyone special ordered one? If so, how long did it take? Can you agree on price at the time the order is placed? The dealer wants a $1,000 deposit to order. No other surrounding dealers seem to have what I want.

Is what I want unreasonable, or weird?

Certain parts of the country stock them. We bought one just like that three years ago and there were plenty in Texas. Last I looked a few months ago they were still not hard to find here.

I had the same experience last year: there were no Luxury GS350s within 2000 miles of the Seattle area where I live. I ended up getting a C300 4Matic instead.

I purchased a 2016 at Johnson Lexus in Raleigh. A must have was ML and the luxury package. I too had trouble locating one but Johnson did and I got one heck of a deal.

I find your situation a bit weird. There are tons of GS350's with your wish list in CA. Must be a location thing.

Don't settle. Get what you want.

Sounds like what I want is plentiful on the West Coast...Figures...I am in Northern Virginia. I'm willing to go within a 500-600 mile radius, but no more. I think I may check into the one available in North Carolina mentioned earlier.

When I'm spending that kind of $$ I don't care where the car is located as long as it's the best deal I can find. I'm in Illinois and will probably purchase in California if thats the best deal or somewhere in the south for a RWD GS.

Its rare, but there are a few "in stock" at dealerships but you may have to take a long drive/trip to see them:

No answer to the problem, but re-enforcing the need for the Luxury Package, it is worth it. Don't know everything the package includes these days, but make sure to get the power trunk, power mirrors, as well.

Got my ML + Luxury package + hybrid from Johnson Lexus. They did good.
