Default Symbol on dashboard/odometer?

I have a 2017 GS. When I start the car, I have noticed in the odometer "pane" there is a wrench and a mileage reading that is about 9000 miles more than my actual mileage. It goes away after a few seconds. I can't figure this out? It isn't counting down (for maintenance) and I know I didn't set anything. I couldn't find it in the manual.

Thanks.

It is a countdown for maintenance, but it may be for oil life because the first service interval is at 5K miles. It seems to be separate since I'm getting a Maintenance Required Soon message every time I start the car and I'm only at 4500 miles.

How do you remove the wrench form the odometer area? This wrench only showed up after a service.

Just cycle thru the ODM button it should go from wrench to Trip A..Trip B..Odometer and then off (nothing displayed)

I can't find that button. I don't believe I mentioned this is a 2017 Lexus GS F Sport.

You probably have the maintenance reminder setup. Have you looked in your Owners Manual?

Unfortunately I didn't get an owners manual; however, I understand the wrench symbol is not in it. I reset everything from the maintenance set up and it did nothing. I have the digital dash and I am sure I am just missing something simple but I have no idea what it is. There is no information anywhere on this that I can see. There is one thread that mentions the wrench and he can't find it in his owners Manuel either.

Check out the button at the far right at the top that says "ODO TRIP"

To reset the maintenance reminder that shows when you are close, it's in your menu on the big screen. I don't remember off hand which heading but it is pretty easy to find.
But I don't think you can get rid of the wrench and countdown that shows every time you start the car. It is just there to let you know how long until the next oil change.

Found it - It's under Other Settings -> Vehicle Settings -> Maintenance

I too have a 2017 F-Sport.. the ODO trip button is to the left of the steering wheel similar to the picture that was posted but the configuration is different on the 2107 F-Sport , you cant really see it when driving but its there..

That's not what he is referring to. I just checked since I have the car near me. It shows up where the odometer is. As someone said above, you can cycle through -> No DIsplay, Odometer, Trip A, Trip B, and the wrench with distance to oil change. But the wrench will display on odometer setting for about 2 seconds upon startup then display the odometer.
