If I knock on the glass of the sunroof from the inside it makes a metal sound, like knocking on a tin can.

If I knock on any other window in the car, it's solid. Why did Lexus cheap out on the sunroof?

Anybody else have this issue?

Personally I don't see this as an "issue".

I don't knock on my windows, but if I did, given that the sunroof is mounted different and held in a metal frame, I would expect that it may indeed sound different than the other windows, but I don't see that as an indication that Lexus decided to "cheap out" on the sunroof.

The 2010 Civic Ex I previously had didn't make this tin can noise when I knock on the sunroof glass. I would just surprised at how much metal sound it makes.

2 layers of "peel & seal" from Home Depot will solve that. LOL just kidding.

Well mine rattles like an sob at the moment and with 70k on the odo no warranty coverage. Have to say this car could have been screwed together a bit better.

I'm having this issue too, My Lexus is 2015 GS 350, and I found that the sunroof is making a pop noise. Still searching about this issue and how to solve it, and until this moment I haven't found any solution that could help reducing this noise.

I just bought a 2014 CPO 23K miles and they had to replace the frame and the tracks this appears to be an issues with the GS.. WTF this has been an issue from the 2013 models and it's still there

Lexus should really be looking at this I'm sure it's not cheap to fix out of pocket
