Why does car vibrate when I have only the back windows down?
I had to replace the windshield a few months back, I am wondering if there is a connection with the vibration that I now feel if I try to have the back windows down. I did replace the windsheild with another Lexus windshield. The sound is really loud and I can SEE the area around the back window vibrating when I put the back windows down. I don't remember the car having any vibration issues b4 the windshield being replaced. Any suggestions?

It sounds like wind buffeting. Try lowering one of the front windows a bit when the rears are down and if the vibration stops or lessens it's just the buffeting effect. It equalizes the pressure in the car caused by the wind.

Almost sounds like a Toyota trait.. if you think yours is bad, try it on a 1st gen Highlander! When I would open the back windows for my dog, I thought my ear drums were going to cave in!!
My ES does it too though, just not as bad as the Highlander we used to own. As mentioned, crack the one of the front windows or pop up the roof, it'll help.

PT Cruiser huh? I feel sorry for ya, even if it was free to you. I had one as a rental over a weekend a few years ago and hated every second of it. At least my work was picking up the bill too.

Yeh, the buffeting is air pressure oscillation caused by the car's aerodynamics. My wife's RX is MUCH worse than my ES. Just play with the windows and roof until you eliminate it.

It's air pressure. Air enters the window and has no escape. Pressure builds until it is too high to keep building, then escapes. Drives your ears crazy. If you roll down any other window or crack the sunroof and allow air to escape it will not happen.
