Can't get SIRI eyes free to work with my 14' F-Sport and my 5s
I've gone ahead and allowed SIRI to work through a locked screen. I have also turned on notifications.
If I hold the home button on the iPhone I can hear SIRI. But if I try through the steering wheel (the disconnect/on the hook bottom button) I'm getting nothing.
I have iOS 7.0.4...so I'm not on the latest version. But from what I understand eyes free should work all iOS 7 SIRI enabled devices.
Anyone have any clue?

Bump... any other solutions?
Siri sounds like its activating but then deactivates and pretty much in general just doesn't work.
BTW. this is for the iPhone 6 Plus. Text messages comes in fine and the car will read them. Also, I have checked my settings in bluetooth, touch id and siri.

This is the button you press. You cant do it right when you start the car, have to give it a couple of minutes. Its pretty useful, you can ask it to find restaurant or movie times or even the weather. You can even tell it to play a certain artist, just need to give gracenote a few minutes to check your library.
Also I believe this siri works independently from your phone, so you OS version or phone settings don't have anything to do with this. Lexus licensed Siri from Apple. If this is wrong please correct me.
Remember tap the button and wait till she asks you for input. Sometimes I hold it too long and it doesnt work.
Hope this helps

Well the thing is when u activate Siri with that button, ur basically making a phone call to Siri, so there is a wait time for sound transfers. The whole system changes to phone call mode when ur talking to Siri.

Thanks for your quick responses.
I thought the standard Lexus voice command was through the voice command button whereas the Siri Eyes Free is through a long press of the phone button?

I depress Off-hook button for Siri (4S and 6+).

Push the button twice and it will skip her intro prompt - and you can go ahead and make a command...and then she will confirm it. Saves a bit of time...

This is what I found. On times when siri doesn't give me a voice response or times out, Siri originating from the phone gives me the message that its really sorry but it can't take any requests at the time. So, it looks like a siri issue.

I think this is for the standard Lexus voice command. I found out why the mobile assistant times out with multiple beeps. It's when Siri can't connect to apple servers.
