Default Rear view mirror loose

Installed the blend mount radar detector mount. Noticed that the mount of the mirror to the windshield rocks a little. Is that normal?

Mine has no play. You might want to double check the install.

There is a screw on the back side that holds it tight. I had mine tightened at the 5k mark due to shaking so bad when the sunroof's open i couldn't see out of it. It's loose again now, 4k miles later. I'm going to have Lexus look at it again during the 10k. Something may be stripped at this point.

I looked at it. It is a Torx head. Does anyone know what size?

Mine was loose when I brought the car home from the dealership. It was tightened within minutes. I wonder why that particular screw is so frequently loose. No, I don't what size it is; just take several out to the car with you and hopefully one of the will fit.

Yeah, my mirror is loose as well. I'll have to tighten the screw at some point.

T15 Torx. Mine was fairly loose. Very minimal tightening fixed it. Not worth trip to dealer.

Hopefully it's just a case of improper installation at the factory and not a poorly manufactured mirror mount on the windshield. It looks like a run-of-the-mill Gentex mirror to me. If need be, Loctite can be applied to the screw's threads.

I should have thought of that. If it gets loose again!
