OBD II scanner
I bought this one seven years ago, still works great with Torque on my phone: https://a.co/d/3z0QTUC
I also have this wired one I bought for some specific reason I can't recall, it works well: https://a.co/d/dGr4wJ6
And if you just want a techstream cable, this one works: https://a.co/d/dGr4wJ6

Thanks for the response. Among the usual diagnostic readings, I want to get a check on whether the electronics of the vehicle is working normally. I don't have any warning lights on the dash but would like to do a health check.
Ok, I'm not aware of any obd elm327-style readers that will work on the dealer-level you need.
Carista has a good two-way plug-in, which is fine. OBDlink MX is however one of the highest speed readers around and if the firmware is up to date you can use it two-way like the carista model.
But to do diagnostics like you want, your looking at getting techstream.
I don't know any "reliable" sources of which to aquire such a thing.... maybe someone can PM you (and me) how to do so.
