I've found that the best most reasonably priced battery is sold at Walmart. BUT WAIT..... it's not the regular Maxx 24F but an AGM sealed battery that lasted me 6 yrs. in hot FL. It is only sold at locations that sell tires.
I bought an AGM battery from O'Reilly recently after my OEM failed in less than three years. I'm hoping for a long life on this one. There are only a couple manufacturers of batteries so as long as you get the more premium model, all should be well.
I replaced my battery twice on my 2013 already: Once with a Delphi battery and last year to an Optima battery. Each replaced battery (OEM, Delphi) lasted about 5yrs here in the northeast (NYC) area. Hoping my current Optima battery lasts just as long.
The OEM battery is also a good bet and usually if you look around, dealers run specials on them. You get the added benefit of getting the dealer to service your car in case something goes wrong (some folks have had issues with infotainment/servo motors/clock after battery replacements).
IMO, the Costco Interstate is the way to go. Bring it back with any time left on warranty and they pull a new one off the shelf.
I can't imagine they don't prorate battery life. Costco warranty is good but it's not that good. Batteries are warrantied from say 5 years. You bring back on year 4, and you can get 20% back on a new battery.
I had one tire replaced under warranty and they measured how much wear I had since installation. My tire was a week old so I got a new tire replaced for free but I still had to pay for a new valve.
How much do dealers charge for a battery replacement anyway? Parts + Labor.
I can change my own battery and have disconnect and reconnect one on my 2014 GS without any issue but just to be on the safe side, in case the nav does go bad, I'd rather pay the dealer a bit for a battery replacement than thousands of $$$ for a new nav.

Also, how long does the factory battery last?
Typically the Lexus branded battery will last at least a long as any other premium battery with a similar 7 year (84 month) warranty with replacement at no charge if it fails within 24 months.
It may last 5-7 years or longer depending on lots of various factors; load use without engine running for the alternator to keep it charged, the ambient temperature when engine is cranked-up, the climate where the battery is being used, etc. Heat is far worse for battery life than is cold, which most people do not understand. (Look at the climate map image below)
It's best to have a battery load tested every two years once the battery becomes 3 years old. Any NTB (National Tire & Battery) store (or similar type store) will load-test your battery free-of-charge in their parking lot, which takes all of about three minutes to do, an they'll give you the paper data printout for you to keep. There is really no excuse for anyone to have a battery fail if they follow this advice. The somewhat rare exception is when a battery cell fails (killing the entire battery) in a fairly new battery less than a few years old.
If you figure the cost of a premium battery and installation is [say] $175 and it lasts 7 years the monthly amortized cost is only about $2 a month, or less than 10 cents a day. Well, most of us spend far more than that on unhealthy or meaningless or stupid stuff...yet some people complain when the battery needs to be replaced before it becomes double-digit age! And, then we have the cheap people always looking to save a penny while not realizing they are far more likely to waste dollars trying to save that penny!

My factory battery was 7+ years old when I replaced it. I never had issues but after 7 years and with Chicago winters, I wasn't going to roll the dice. Went with a Die Hard gold and so far so good, 2 years going on 3.

It's not something you need to leave to chance, you just need to keep the electronics powered through the OBD-II port using a spare battery pack. I use this with no issues:
I have nothing against the dealer for a battery change but when I need a battery, I usually need it now and don't have the time to drive to the dealer and leave the car for a service like that.
Best? What makes best? I put an Antigravity 30Ah Group 24 LiFePo4 in the GS F, IS F, and a smaller unit in the Supra. Why Antigravity? Anticipated service life of at least 10 years. Works better in cold weather because it heats itself as you use it. Has a restart function in case the voltage drops below 9.5vdc. Comes with a bluetooth monitor to track charge and charging function. Spins the engine over unbelievably quick. Will never ever corrode your battery terminals. All this AND it weighs about 11 pounds. Downside? It's a lot of cash upfront - $600 if you catch one of their many sales.
I will never run lead acid again, and I've had all of them. AGM, Optima, conventional - they're all prone to issues I no longer want to address. Sick of the terminal corrosion, pig heavy weight and highly variable service life.

Costco does not pro rate their batteries. They give you a new battery and say thank you. I have done this at least twice that I can think of. Just ask them next time you are there.
Their price for the Interstate battery is about $100, depending on model with a $15 core charge. Of course I do not know if all Costcos carry Interstate; this may be regional.
They do not stock all sizes, so call first. Sometimes another store will have one. I recently replaced a dead battery in a newer Ford Focus; it is not a real common size but they were able to send me to another store.

These are nice and worth it for the weight savings alone. If I can just fit my new GS battery into my wife's NX when her's goes bad, I'll get one of these. When/how do you find out about the sales?

@ItzFilyO last time I was quoted ~$240 (tax included) for parts/labor on the OEM GS Lexus battery with 84month warranty. If I remember correctly, battery was $150 and they wanted $70 for the labor. Sometimes the OEM battery lasts just 3-4yrs, sometimes it lasts 6-7yrs...lots of factors but the OEM 84mo. warranty is pretty good compared to the aftermarket battery warranties out there.
