The license and registration fees are coming due on my ‘15 GS. Are there any states worse than California?

Registration fee……$206

License fee………….$176

County fee……………$22

Smog abatement fee…$25

Total….$428. For a seven year old car! I have a 16 year old motorcycle that costs over $200 each year.

 

Is there a separate property tax as well?

In CT my property taxes are over $400 for a 2013, registration fees are around $60 annually, and emissions is $20. I'm probably missing something else too.

 

Is this for one year or multiple years?

 

CA is annual registration, unfortunately...

 

Yeah and no property tax.

 

Dont have the breakdown, but in Nevada (in Clark county) my 2017 GS 350 F Sport cost $728 to renew for a year.

 

In Nevada. Lyon county. 2015 GS 137$. No smog check.

 

Smog checks here are every other year.

 

Alberta Canada, plates and registration $95 annually, just went up $10.....rediculous

No emissions testing.

Texas is about $75 + a $20 inspection annually.

 

$464 for my 2019 this year and $547 last year.

 

Florida $32.50/year

 

The license fee is tax deductible.

 

Snohomish County, WA.

My 2020 GS is due soon. It goes down a bit each year. This year it will be $683.25.

 

Damn.. almost $700!! Time to move to Temecula.
