Default Flickering Headlights

Good morning,

I noticed the left headlight on my 2013 Lexus GS350 Fsport was flickering. I brought it at a shop, they switched the bulbs to confirm if it needs bulb replacement but the problem still exist. After switching the bulbs, AFS light started blinking.

Thanks for the help.

A few things to check:
-See if there is any water leaking into the headlight assembly. Look for any condensation in the light. Moisture can cause any sort of electrical issues with the components of the headlamp.
-Your ballast may be going bad - have the shop check that for you.
-Your battery may need to be changed or may need to be load tested.

I think you have not 1, but 2 bad bulbs. They are likely the same age.

Thanks for the help.

I bought my car last week, and as I was leaving the right head light started flickering and the left followed shortly after. Got the battery checked and all electronics looked good. Took it back to the dealership, they replaced both bulbs and has been working great since!

Did you get the AFS off solved?

Problem solved, flickering light gone after I replaced both HID bulbs. Thanks everyone.
Buy good quality D4S bulbs that will last longer. It will save you on maintenance if use quality HID bulbs.

Nope, brought it to a shop. Replacing the bulbs are a bit hard, leave it to the experts. Check some videos on YouTube.

I've replaced many headlight bulbs of different make cars, but just haven't on the GS, have been fortunate enough the bulbs haven't burnt out yet. Definitely will check out some YouTube videos, just wondering if they were easily accessible. In all the years the car has been in the family I never bothered to look since removing all the covers is pretty annoying. Couldn't be any worse than my 3G TL, you had to take off the front bumper to get those bulbs replaced (well that was easiest way to do it, not the only way).

I observed that there's not much space to work on. They had to remove some covers to gain access to the bulb.
