We thought about it for a fun car, but still can't bring ourselves to do it. The range would make travel between BF's and my homes a bit tight, could probably make it if all went well, but not if there were any traffic issues. And since we learned about the fire suppression issues, I'm a little scared. what with all the crazy driving that's going on out there.
Well, don't mean to be a downer. And since you have experience with the brand, you can tell if it works for you. Best of luck.
Im not jealous nor hating. I have nothing to against Tes La ! But sometimes i wish we ALL can go back to the old days with only gasoline and diesel. Our present lovely President already cutting some jobs on oil field which i am in ( Offshore Rig for NOV After Market ) and move on to those wind mills ?
Promised to myself and the wife that i will keep all my cars as Lexus only, or the next move would be natural aspirated v12 Lambo !
Good luck with that electric car.
I've got a V10 Lambo and trust me it's 100% worth it. Sounds way better than any turbo V8 McLarens that friends have. Probably going to get an Aventador soon for that sweet NA V12 sound.
Congratulations! They are nice vehicles. I won't bother with them until they improve the build quality. I too know enough individuals with issues, then trying to get service.

Just grab an Audi Etron GT. Better built than any Tesla.
Thanks all. I just dont know if Lexus can pull off a vehicle like this and execute it the same way. I feel like the car is priced aggressively because some corners are cut, which Lexus as a brand cant do. I dont know how much a lexus paint job costs but I am sure the tesla one does not cost as much LOL. Also, can you imagine a Lexus vehicle having a setting in the acceleration called "chill mode". Or a setting in the entertainment screen that makes fart sounds when you hit the blinker. I mean its stupid but my 7 and 10 year old laughed their asses off the other day. Then when I was parked and waiting for the kids to finish swim practice I was playing the driving game which uses the steering wheel. I mean come on.....its as if a 20 or 30 year old thought of the stuff and Elon said Roll with it.
Congrats on the new car. At least the GS stays in the family.
Personally, I just can’t get used to the no-grill look in the front and the round shape of this model. Some of the models also have the ugliest wheels since the SC430 pie plates.
I see people in NYC that drive Tesla’s but can’t imagine if one would be able to charge it while street parking it.
We got our Model 3 in Dec 2018, at the end of the $7K tax credit. The cars are much cheaper now.
Of course, Teslas are not for everyone. Some people hate the minimalist interior; others find it futuristic.
After driving the Model 3, I find Lexus' multitude of buttons overly complicated; perhaps confusing.
Set cabin temperature? Press right steering wheel button and say, "Set the temp to 70."
Charging at home is incredible, especially with solar panels. Starting out every day with a full tank is such a pleasure.
If I could not charge at home, I would not own an EV. Of course, in Silicon Valley you can often charge at work for free or at subsidized rates.
These cars are the future. And from a performance standpoint, there is nothing else like them.
