Good morning. My '14 GS350 F Sport was getting up there in age. Not so much numerically, but mileage wise. I was just about to cross over to 116k miles. I know that's really not a lot, for a Lexus. But between the leaking rear differential and recommended service, I was looking at as much as $3000...per my Lexus service advisor. I really didnt need to get something else, just a desire. Figured I would put that money towards a down payment. Was leaning heavily towards a '19-'20 Acura RDX A-Spec. Really love the styling, exterior AND interior. Did my research and came across a number of issues on those 2 model years. A friend of mine, who was the service manager at my local Acura, had warned me a few years ago to avoid them, for now. He told me they were coming in for various problems. So, during my search I looked at the CarFax (if available) and noticed many had service calls in between oil changes. And not just one or two. That scared me away. Was looking forward to something a little bigger (especially the hatch space), especially in that Apex Blue Pearl paint. My current car is gray and most of my other cars, throughout my life, were dull in color. I still looked for GS's and saw one at a dealer 90 minutes away, so went up after work one day last week. My job is just 35 minutes to the dealer. Really liked what I saw. Matador Red Mica with, I believe, every available option. Only had 31k miles. Over the next few days and many text messages, I worked out a deal. Picked it up Saturday. Only thing that put me off was that the GS I was trading in, had my good winter tires on it. I asked them to swap with the All Season Bridgestones that are on the '18 now. They wanted to charge me $500. I declined. So, hoping to avoid snow (2"-5" more today) for the rest of winter. Happy I was able to stay with Lexus. The two pics indoors was Saturday when I picked it up.

Congrats on the new GS. About a week ago I traded in my ‘14 GS for a CPO ‘17 GS. Really happy with my decision, and all the advanced features that came with it.
I think we’re of a similar mind. I looked at several other cars including the new Acura TLX but nothing outweighed all the things I loved about the GS 350. Call me “old school,” say my car looks dated, etc. I know what I like.
Those tires look newer than I would expect on 31k miles. Did the dealership just put those on, or previous owner? They look good, you shouldn't have any snow issues.
$3000 for service, Pennies to replace a crush washer, or less than $5 for them to replace the drain plug, plus fluid. Any other service is massively overpriced.
Dealer service is a massive ripoff, and that's were they make the real money, not new car sales.

Beautiful ride! Congrats on the upgrade, now you just need to update your signature
Any immediate first impressions compared to your '14 F-Sport?
Thank you...and thanks for the heads-up. I'll change it!!!
For the short amount of time I've driven it, it feels tighter. I know it's already broken in and has nearly 32k miles. But, I'm almost afraid to really get on it, like I would my '14. Need to get used to the button layout and functions and where to locate things. I haven't been able to find it but, is there a way to change when the power folding mirrors actually fold? I remember changing it on my '14, to fold as soon as the ignition turned off, and not when I lock the doors after I get out. Overall, glad I made the change. I have about 20k miles to decide if I want to extend the CPO status. I more than likely will...just better start saving my bottle returns.

Thank you!
That's the way I am, as well. I really like the whole A-Spec lineup, TLX...RDX...MDX. But, not being able to get the features I really want to have, was deal breaker for me. Once I had the power tilt/telescopic wheel and power folding mirrors, there was no turning back. And living here in NY, the headlamp washers are probably my favorite feature.

Yeah the dealer can make the change for your mirrors to fold on stop/start of the ignition (i believe you can do it with the carista app as well).
