Default Change TPMS or no?

I'm about to get new tires since my current set its about done and winter is coming. Question is, do I replace my TPMS or no? My GS is a 2013 with 82k miles on it. Should I just wait?

And if I should change them how much does it cost? Seems to be the sensors are quite pricey for oem.

I'd recommend the denso tpms sensors. Also says to replace every 5-10 years or 100k.

Looks like a good deal, but be careful as there is lots of fake "oem" parts on ebay.

That looks too good to be true. I paid 130 for each oem sensor. Not sure how they can sell "oem" for 25 a piece.

I purchased this exact set about a year ago and never had a single problem getting them programmed (by Discount Tire) and not a single light or issue and I can certainty vouch for these. I have a 2015 GS F-Sport for what its worth.

This is a catch 22, if the system is functioning there is really no need to replace the sensors, as it was mentioned TPMS sensors typically last 7-10 years. However there is nothing to indicate whether they will make it through the next set of tires before the batteries die. The benefit of course, being replacing them now means saving on the labor since the tire shop can install them when the new tires are installed.

On a side note regardless of your decision, it is highly recommended to replace sensors in sets if possible, once one battery dies, the rest are typically soon to follow.

Here is a bit more information on the sensors TPMS facts | Discount Tire

Please feel free to reach out to us directly if we can be of any assistance. We are always happy to help.

My friend actually purchase a machines and programmed the new sensors himself. He tried Discount Tire in our area but they were clueless to say the least he indicated. Amazon sells the program machine.

This is just me being cheap, but why in the world would you replace TPMS sensors for $100 a piece if they are working first of all. They are not a critical component of a car, as in, the car will not operate or is unsafe to operate. They measure the air pressure in a vehicle. That is all folks. I have an 11 year old Acura RDX that monitors the individual tire pressures, and I have never seen anyone comment on replacing the sensors. What is so special about the Lexus TPMS that people are needing to replace them all the time it seems?

OEM is a fairly new brand name.

I've never been letdown with Denso parts, i mean a lot of stuff is made for Toyota by Denso. That would be my recommendation.
