Default Amber delete on tail lights with smoked reverse lights

Was never a fan of the amber on the tail lights that stuck out like a sore thumb and I thought the smoke finish on the reverse lights made it look better as well. Also swapped the reverse lights for super bright LEDs so visibility is still great.

Posting this for anyone curious to how the rear end looks with these 2 changes together, because I couldn’t find many pics online before I bought them

Looks good! You have the red-out, tinted reverse overlay and the black rear emblem. Did you use a pre-cut tint/overlay for the reverse like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/SMOKE-REVER...-/303174210748 ?

The LED reverse bulbs are a must if you have that section tinted. I also did the re-out tails and noticed that the blinker output was greatly diminished making the car look "old" or like the bulbs were weak. I ended up changing out the rear turn signals for LEDs as well.

Best amber delete, retrofit GS F tail lights, also the led reverse lights are better than anything I tried when I had my 2013 tail lights.

thank you! And yes, I used 2 precut sets from Slickmod on eBay/Amazon. Made the install so easy even for a beginner like me. I’ve been wanting to swap my turn signals for LED but was worried about the hyperflash, did you encounter that issue?

If you get hyper flash you just need to put/tap a load resistor in between the turn signal bulb wires:
Amazon Amazon

Not a pic from the GS, but you get the idea:

@Kingmatt24 yep - had that issue but i bought resistors. Here were the bulbs and resistors I went with:

https://www.vleds.com/shop-applicati...-hv-amber.html
https://www.vleds.com/vlr-6-duotap.html

I've had a positive experience with the quality of the VLED products but many quality products out there for cheaper.

You can also buy LEDs that are CANBUS compliant.

Same here except I've smoked the entire taillight (rather than only the reverse light) and also the reflectors in the bumper.

very nice! I was originally planning to do the same to go with the pure black/white contrast theme I’m going for but I’m loving the red now that the ugly amber/white are gone
