Default Somehow blew the sub

Hey guys, I have somewhat of a dilemma. Somehow the subwoofer in my 2014 GS350 is blown.

To be completely honest I cannot even tell from the driver seat, but anybody who sits in the back always comments on it. I am not very speaker savvy so I honestly am unsure what to do.

Would I be best off ordering the Lexus OEM sub, dropping a new one in place of the blown one, or just leaving it and installing an aftermarket box/speaker/amp?

I would really appreciate your advice as I am kind of unfamiliar with things speaker-related.

it may not be blown, the sub in the car is not loud. I would check the OEM amp first

What do you mean by blown?

If the foam surround has failed, as can happen esp in warmer places, there are kits for that.

Symptoms of a failed surround can be muted sound and buzzing.

How would I test that? A multimeter?

Honestly I cannot hear anything I would consider "abnormal" from the driver seat. It's only people in the backseat who notice

Put on some funky tunes, and sit in the back seat so you can describe the issue.
