Mmm....not a great place for a switch, moving parts are always dangerous! Why not do what I did and put the switch where the nightvision switch goes? What MY?

MY2013 F-sport.
I'm using a non-OEM rocker switch. Will that make a difference?
Where did you hide the switch, and how did you do it?
I had to remove the lower half of the dash board mainly the part by your knees and below. The coin box is attached to it so once I had it removed I drilled a circular hole so my switch would slide in. Here are some pics. First pic has the coin door closed with bass ****. Pic 2 and 3 is the switch to turn the aftermarket amp on and off. The switch has a small red led light when it’s turned on. Gives out a decent amount of light at night so that’s a plus.

I would get a hold of 3-4 switches that aren’t very deep bc there isn’t much clearance around the coin holder. It would be best to remove the lower dash and evaluate before drilling holes.

How did you remove the coin holder itself? Also, did you drill the hole at the top as opposed to the past that is right in front of you when you're looking at it? Thanks

I did not remove the coin holder. It was still attached to the lower dash when I removed it. I just drilled a hole on the top part of it. I used the top of the coin holder as the switch would be stationary. If it was attached to any other part of the coin holder the wires would be moving each time you open and close it.

Thanks. After I remove the side air vent and the plastic piece by the footwell, do I just pull on the plastic piece that includes the coin holder? Will it just come out with a tug? I'm asking because I tried that last night and it didn't seem to want to pop off.

There’s a 10mm bolt or two. Check the forums for a how to dissemble the dash and it should be pretty easy. Be careful with the airbag. I did not remove it during my install.
