Default Transmission Feels Funny After Battery Replacement

Do I need to reset ECU after battery replacement? My transmission feels lethargic after installing a new battery. Thanks guys.

No, there is no need to reset the ECU or anything else. Try driving in Sport mode!

That's odd. Most modern sports cars learn and adapt but our GS don't so a reset would theoretically do nothing?
My last car took time to relearn but unless BC can correct me, the GS doesn't learn.

Keep driving it (either aggressively, moderate or casually) the way you always tend to drive - the ECU will need to re-learn your habits/syle. When I replaced my battery, my GS felt more "peppy" and ready to shift quickly.

I disconnected my battery for 10 mins the other day, and was surprised to see all my radio presets unchanged. Does the head unit have its own power supply?

@er34 Can't help it!

Speed limits are 25MPH citywide - personally have gotten multiple tickets from red light cams, speed cameras and NYPD/State Troopers pulling me over. Unfortunately, it gets expensive NOT to drive like granny in my area. So it goes.

Next time as i'm trying to drive aggressive, if i get pulled over, i'll try to blame the responsiveness of my ECU

No but it has a hard drive. More of a carputer than a radio
