You don’t need the recall letter to call in. I called my dealers service department today and said I’m calling for the fuel pump recall and they ordered the part today and will be taking my car Thursday to do the install

I do notice on lexusdrivers, where it used to say the remedy was not yet ready, it now says "remedy available". Probably a good time to get it done. I'll contact my dealer.

My '13 is not showing up as having a recall when I use https://www.toyota.com/recall . Is that what everyone is using to check/confirm?

I called my dealer and he said they are doing them in waves, and mine is in the first wave so he can order the part. He will let me know when it comes in. He did note that I need to have no more than 1/3 a tank of gas. It's sitting in the garage with about 3/4 of a tank and nowhere to go. Guess I need to take some "fun" drives over the next week to burn that down.

Yeah no recall for my 2013 450h, I guess they made a bad batch of pumps and covering all grounds to replace them since they don't know exactly which cars have it.

I think it was the original press release that stated that hybrids would be handled separately. It noted that it wasn't a safety issue for the hybrids as you ought to still be able to move it out of the way if the engine stalled, therefore the non-hybrid cars would be handled first. I'm waiting to see if my Highlander gets the recall.

I'll see if I can find that about the hybrids.

Here it is about the Hybrids. The will be handled later.

This recall applies to vehicles with specific fuel pumps produced by Denso in which an increased rate of fuel pump failure is observed. Some hybrid models are equipped with the same fuel pump produced by Denso during this production period; however, if fuel pump failure occurs, these vehicles will enter a fail-safe mode, resulting in illumination of warning lights and reduced motive power in which the vehicle can still be driven for certain distances. This condition does not present an unreasonable risk to safety. Toyota intends to conduct a customer satisfaction campaign for these vehicles in the future.

I'm in Canada, called the dealer May 8 and was told no parts are available here yet and that the US always gets recalls fixed first! Guess I'll have to wait for this one..

Has anyone had a fuel pump failure or heard of a failure?

I'm also in Canada (Ontario), nothing available yet here either. As far as a fuel pump failure goes for these vehicles I've never heard any such instances. Anyhow I'm pretty sure its going to be several months before we get it fixed in Canada.

I brought my car in Thursday and within 3 hours I got the car back. They were able to order the fuel pump Within two days. I called for the recall Tuesday and they got it Thursday. My car smells like gas a bit now still trying to air it out.

I used this Lexus site to check on recall. My car was not a part of the recall. Does this mean I can still get a notice soon or is my car totally unaffected?
