They come on with the first use of the windshield washer as long as the headlights are on, and every 5th pulse of the windshield washer thereafter.

They are a huge asset in the snow and slush, but sometimes I want to give a short spray to the windshield without soaking the headlights and hood, and I can’t do that. I’d rather a dedicated switch.

Yes the headlight washer jet is quite powerful. Can blast dirt off with a couple of pushes.

I have the headlight washer button on my 2013 GSH, but have never tried to use it. I don't understand when I would use it given I live in Florida. But I understand the Northern people needing it. Our GSH's do not have any audible noise button for electric mode in the US, do we?
