Default Triple beam or ML

Hi all,

Looking to buy a used 2017 or 2018 GS 350 F Sport in the next few months and really love the look of the triple beam headlights. Challenge is that it seems many that have triple beam don’t have ML sound or they have ML but no triple beam. I’ve only found a few that have both and they tend to be asking for quite a bit more money.

What would you all choose? I’ve heard mixed things on ML and not sure if the base audio is decent. I’ve driven a 2017 LS and the base audio didn’t sound bad to me at all.

Beautiful car. If you custom ordered, why did you not add the heads-up display? Just curious! Also, are you my long lost brother? Haha.

@A3A I vote getting a GS with triple beams if you have to compromise - mainly because its pricey and a good amount of work to get the OEM triple beams working based on what i've seen other members go through to install after the fact.

If you get a GS with the triple beams and the base audio, you can always get a good local place to install a sub or upgrade the sound system to your liking. Personally, I have the base system and find it to be very good.

I just posted about one the dealer here called me about - I believe it has both options, it's in Smokey Granite Mica. I'm not shure how to link you to that post but it should be pretty high on the main page.

My 2016 USB with LED and ML will be returned soon. Will likely have a little over 18K miles too. Black interior.

Triples hands down! Not a huge fan of my ML for what the option costs.

Lexington, KY.

Still haven't really decided. I have until April 28th if I want to drop it off 4 months early, or Aug 28th to lease end. If I plan to buy it afterwards though, it'll be mine.

I have both the triple beams and ML. If I had to choose one, it would be the triple beams.

I’m in western NY so not close but not impossibly far if you turn it in and the dealership there re-sells. May have to keep my eyes open for it. My current lease is up at the beginning of June, but I may term it early if I find the right deal on a used GS before
then.

I'd go the ML if you enjoy accurate audio. I wouldn't buy a car with LED headlights because it'll cost thousands if the headlight fails, the HID bulbs are only a couple of hundred. Are they that much better than HIDs? I would love to see a side by side.

All 2016+ GS’ have LED headlights as standard, the triple beams are just prettier and perform better.
