It's probably because my 2013 with the 2016 head unit retrofit it doesn't show it anymore, but still shows the change in the instrument cluster.
Are you talking about the enter button on the sides of the navigation/mouse controls? I have yet to track down a 2016 nav controls that are affordable, currently my 2013 controls work just fine with the 2016 head unit. The junk yards want $400 for that and I laughed.

What was your favorite? Any you didn't especially care for?
Three 4GS
That's gotta be a record.
close call between the new 04 LS 430 and my new GS 350 Sport. The 04 was when the quality and luxuriousness was nicer than
now. Real leather and "Dolphin skin" dashboard. Not near as much tech or performance, but what a car. I really do love the 17 GS though.
ps also had i motorcycle (barely survived it).

Maybe I'm just so use to my 2013, I have no issues navigating and entering my 2016 head unit with the mouse and pressing it to enter. I know people complain about the mouse thing, but I don't have any problems with it, I happen to find it easy to use. It's like learning anything and once you get use to it you also get good at it. lol I feel like if I got the updated nav controller I'll find myself pressing the mouse and the enter button at the same time causing other problems. I guess I wouldn't know for sure until I have one.
I think for my setup with the carlinkit carplay/android auto the back button would be more useful.
Who uses the enter button on the passenger side, the passenger?

To be clear, I didn’t have any issues using it on my 15 without the side enter buttons. Wasn’t sure if I’d use them on my 19, but now I’ve gotten used to them and use them more often than just pushing down on the mouse.
