What bulbs are good for the GS350? Need some recommendations, the stock bulbs look yellowish, wanting some whiter output. Anyone have Phillips or morimoto D4S bulbs?

Bought these and don’t have any regrets worth every penny.

I had Osram's CBI bulbs. The output was good, better than factory for sure.

Does it match your led strip? And how’s the brightness compared to stock, heard 6k loses some viability?

I don’t have any pictures of it but it was much better than OEM and better than the popular Garax bulbs you see here on the forums. I upgraded form Garax to the Phillips myself.

Osram CBIs are great bang for the buck. I wouldn't go Morimoto though. Not the worst of the offenders but it's more or less junk. Bulbs are high precision science guarded by proprietary mixtures and formulas and are closely and tightly held secrets. 7 and 8 figure corporations and large OEM suppliers. Main automotive lighting, don't go cheap.

I haven't followed this stuff for a while now but I believe there's $300 sets out there called night breakers. But CBIs used to be top notch in the day. $500 or so when they first came on the market. but now they're $130 a pair i think. maybe cheaper. They still outperform your basic factory 85122s (still great) all the OEMs use.

Just a heads up, for HID bulb color, 4300K is pure white. Higher numbers (5000K, 6000K, etc) are more bluish/purple, and provide less contrast in lighted objects, eg. less usable light. That's why some cars have yellow fog lights, they provide more contrast in low visibility conditions. 3000K is yellow if you want to get yellow HID

I am using Osram Xenarch Night Breaker unlimited @4300-4400K
I think the new version is named Osram Xenarch Night Breaker Laser @4500K
there is also a OSRAM Cool Blue Intense Xenarc @ 5000K

these types of bulbs tends to go a bit higher in Kelvin the older they get.
as mentioned above 4300K is pure white and was the "optimal" white when HID arrived the market
earlier BMW and MB used 4300K
When You get up to 6000K and more it becomes more "fashion" on the cost of usable light..

You can often see lots of marketing that new version 200% more light bla bla
but if You read the spec they are often around 3200Lumens , and 35watt (must match the ballast anyways)

Osram Xenarch Night Breaker Laser 140-165USD for a pair
OSRAM Cool Blue Intense Xenarc @ 5000K should be "cheap" at around 100-120USD for a pair
(europe cost)

Currently using Osram CBB, i had CBI previously on my other vehicle. both offer pure white light on the road without sacraficing lumens. there are a few videos comparing output on youtube.

OSRAM CBI is what I'm using, definitely brighter than stock, the beam width is wider and It matches well with the strip. I did however had to put a few hours on the bulbs before it turned into a true (5K) color.

How can people say different branded globes are brighter than stock? Is the wattage higher? Surely it would not be compatible with the factory ballast?

Here is the picture of the Phillips 6K, they definitely don’t match the DRL but I never noticed that until I took the picture.
