Default No weather map?

18 GS. I like to have my weather map displayed when driving. Most every time I try to bring it up, it says "No data available try again later". Sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't. Any ideas?

I don't use mine very often, but in general, I have found it less likely to work in the first 5 minutes or so of starting up the car. Maybe it takes a little time to download via HD Radio, I'm not sure. I have had the same message as you but wait a couple minutes and try it again, and it usually works. I'll have to play with it a bit more and let you know.

I used to notice that it would come up after a few minutes. Now, you can drive it most of the day and it won't show at all. Thanks JDR!

Yes, that's been my experience too; it takes a few minutes to download the map/data and has been fine after that.

I had the same issue in my 2016 GS it seemed to be coverage issue for me, what helped is setting the data provider to DCM/HD Radio. I have a 2019 ES now the system has been improved traffic weather is almost instance

I wonder if it’s an HD Radio signal issue in your area. Your RX gets it from SiriusXM, right?

Yes. I was thinking the same thing but it seems strange that one car receives it but the other doesn't.

Ok, I just checked my weather map this morning and all I saw is just the map. It's always clear in socal maybe that's why it doesn't show anything other than the map. Is this normal?

If you have no storm cells or rain in the area, then yes, it should be clear. The map shows precipitation.
