Default Serpentine belt change

Has anyone changed their serpentine belt with something other than OEM parts?

Debating if I should go with OEM (found it on eBay for cheap from a Lexus dealer) but I need two idler pulleys... any recommendations? Thanks

Related to this, what mileage interval is best to change the S-belt?

I always found aftermarket belts squeaked quickly, felt like I was always changing them in my 2GS.

I never changed a belt before it started squeaking.

Mind only squeaks when the car is left outside overnight and not in the garage on a cold start... just ordered a OEM belt from bell Lexus on eBay. I wouldn’t replace it unless it squeak!

Replacing this should be easy on the 4GS right? There's a ton of space in the engine bay.

It was easy (had my personal mechanic do it for me and took him 10min). I bought an OEM serpentine belt for around $60 from mylparts.com. Mine had to be changed at 53k miles on my '13 as it was making an annoying chirping noise whenever idling and it was below 50 degrees out.

Why would you even consider installing an aftermarket serpentine belt in lieu of an OE belt - what could possibly be the advantage or benefit? I can't imagine the belt's cost would be a consideration.

What makes you think you need two idler pulleys? Are you considering aftermarket for that too?

Replacing it should definitely be easy on a 4GS. There's plenty of room considering that there's plenty of room to work with, as you said! Not a big job at all.

Awesome! Yeah, mine only squeaks if the car is left outside of the garage overnight. Since winter is coming around in MI, rather just replace it. Overall, a cheap job with OEM parts. I was just wondering if anyone has used aftermarket and their luck with it.

I found a deal on eBay with two Koyo pulleys + a Dayco serpentine belt for $68 approximately. One OEM v-belt from Lexus cost about $60, excluding the pulleys. A trusted mechanic I've been using for years recommended replacing the pulleys since they eventually go bad after replacement of a new belt. I ordered two Koyo pulleys and OEM belt off eBay for $100 altogether, which isn't bad. Koyo is usually what Japanese auto-manufacturers use anyways.
