Maybe the dealerships should have their team read through here so they are up to date on issues and things customers want and are looking for in cars.
This is so true I went to the dealer to check out the Lexus NX and the sales rep told me the NX F-sport doesn't come in AWD??? I was thinking to myself where did you train at? lol

For what it's worth, you are no longer able to order a new Lexus GS on at least 3 European official Lexus websites I have explored.

They stopped taking orders in Europe for the GS last year I believe - that is what led to a lot of this speculation about the future of the GS since it was cut from Europe.

It was already announced no GS in europe for 2019 and hybrid was D/C in america as well. Instead it was replaced with the ES being in the line up for the first time.

I was in fact not aware of that. Thanks for sharing the details!

That said, personally I could hardly see the ES as a replacement for the GS, but I know some people who will feel it just right.

And while the GSF does give you a lot, and RWD, I think you need a go-between, like a AWD with 350-400hp as an option at least. *Actually* try to compete with other performance sedans. We literally fo from 300hp at 55k(ish) to the GSF at 90k, no in between....
I agree, there needs to be some kind of affordable engine option between the 300hp 6 cylinder and $80K+ 467hp GS-F these days that is not a over priced hybrid whether that is a turbo 6 from the new LS or a 400hp 8 cylinder. That would go a long way to distance the GS from ES while not breaking the bank

Exactly! I mean, the GS is alomst perfect for me. Give it the redesigned interior we've been seeing in other models, with GS flair, and an engine upgrade. It will SELL!

The article the person knows nothing about the car.

I dislike ES because it is FWD and not sporty. ES is like my old Honda Accord from old decades.

I love GS and sporty more than ES

I spoke to a Lexus rep last week and he confirmed that there will be a 2020 GS.

Just saw an article about the next gen IS sharing the platform with the Toyota Crown, I guess if that is true, the GS will be dead? Sux

The gs is what shares the same platform as the crown so if they do this they either rename the gs into the is or just kill off the is. Seeing as they were comparing the es to is class cars I’m ok with them doing this as long as they maintain the gs premium quality. Name doesn’t matter as long as the car exists and is great

I think the IS will get bigger and take over the GS spot. I hope the price of my GS will skyrocket once they discontinue it.
