Default Feedback from shifter

I always drive with my hand resting on the shifter but lately it feels like a get a lot of feedback from it when I go over bumps or drive on bad roads. I can feel it move back and forth more than I’m used to with other cars.

Can anyone give me any input from your experience?

2015 GS F-Sport

That's normal 'if' you are talking about a tiny little wiggle movement. When I slowly drive over a narrow gate track for my driveway it causes the shifter to wiggle a tiny bit as the transmission moves in its mounts.

I guess so. It's that I never noticed it on my other cars.

It almost has the same feeling as a stick shift moving on a manual transmission, no? I haven't driven one in a long time but I do remember the same kind of movement.

I'll try to pay attention to it on my drive home this afternoon. I've never noticed any movement in mine, but I don't rest my hand on it.

I suspect that, similar to a manual car, notable movement is indicative of deteriorating motor and transmission mounts. How many miles do you have? Do you drive aggressively or spiritedly?

I bet if you creep very slowly (like 1-2 mph) over a sliding gate track you will feel the shifter move.

I definitely get a bit of feedback from the shifter as well, but you've got to be paying attention to it to really notice it, or go over something like a gate track as bclexus mentioned.

Looks like this is what I have. It is barely noticeable but there. Based on the responses it seems to be nothing serious.
