Can it be added on the front? I guess I happen to have the Gs that came with nothing lol.

You'd probably need new seats (are yours perforated?) and the control panel installed at a minimum. If they are perforated, you could be lucky with just the heater pads and fan assembly. Unsure if cabling is there, you may need a loom. To find out, compare parts on Lexuspartsnow.com to work out what you need. Unless you're willing to spend serious cash you'd want to find a wrecked example and pilfer the parts Originally Posted by esonu

You must have a true 'Base' model GS 350 without Heated/Ventilated Front Seats, Power Rear Sunshade or Rain-sensing Wipers. I've never seen one! Originally Posted by esonu

Does it have the navigation system? What size tires/wheels does it have?

I guess you don't have the premium package. I thought that was standard on all GS's. Out of curiosity how much did you pay for your GS?

There's one base model GS350 for sale in the whole of Australia haha. Opposed to 14 Fsports and 5 luxury models. They're so rare it's a wonder Lexus bothering printing them in the factory. Originally Posted by peasodos

Paid 19 for it and has perforated seats. It has no sunshade or auto sensing wipers. It does have navigation though and wheels were 18in superchrome wheels.
Might just leave it alone if it needs wiring to make it work and not just the piece in the center console and seats.

Yep, just leave it alone, I can't even tell when my ventilated seats are on...
There are a lot of GS's that are optioned like yours, essentially just wheels, Nav and floor mats added to the base model but they still have 90% of what you use daily. There are just 2 things I might miss, the power trunk and RCTA, and that's not a huge deal even. Enjoy your GS!

The seat could already have the heating pads and cooling fans, also prewired. All it might need is plugging in the switches for heated and cooled seats. If you raise your seat to the highest position, stick your cellphone under and take a couple pics we would know for sure. There is a fan for the cooled seats right at the bottom.Originally Posted by esonu

I can't imagine a leather seat without ventilated and heated seats. The ventilation makes a big difference when it's hot, especially preventing back sweat. Any airflow threw a hot leather seat is better than nothing. The heat is great also in the winter, same with my heated steering wheel.
This is what the fan looks like under the seat:

The first used GS I looked at did not have heated seats, no NAV, pretty much no options. I could not believe they even equipped one like that which was equipped less then most family sedans. Even the salesman said he was surprised how base it was and said they will probably have to send it to auction early because it won't sell.Originally Posted by bclexus

If it has the a/c duct running through the center console for rear passengers I would think it might, but it would probably be super expensive and probably the seat would need to be changed out.

The ac system and cooled seats are two separate systems. The cooled seats is just a fan sucking up the air under the seat and blowing it through. Again if he takes the pic of the under part of the seat and sees the fan I posted before that means his seats have the system for the cooled seats and probably the heated seats.Originally Posted by coachguy

It makes sense for Lexus to make all the standard seats the same and prewire everything for the upgrades so they would just have to plug some buttons or change a panel to get the functionality depending on the customer's order.
I did power folding mirror mod for my 2013 GSh, factory HUD, triple beam headlights, lux seats with 3 zone climate control. the car is prewired for the most part for all the options, not too had for me to add to the car.
DRCC is another story, but apparently doable, unfortunately, an expensive endeavor, and the other member on this forum who was going to do this ended up having to part out because his GS was in a wreck.
Looked under the seat no luck for any fans. Guess I’ll just live without it. Would barely miss this feature since all my prior cars had it and only used it during winter. Two features I wish this car did come with though that it doesn’t have is the folding mirrors and bsm. Didn’t care for these before I bought the car but now that I have the car I wish it had it.

I know the lux seats are swappable with standard seats, it wouldn't surprise me if standard seats with heated/cooled are swappable with you very base model seats.Originally Posted by esonu

I am swapping my base standard seats with the 18 way lux seats this week. Then plan on selling the original front seats for $200 each, but local pickup only, VA
Selling the complete front and rear seats, Flaxen for $700 soon.

Just so you will know - 99.9% of the GS 350s in the U.S. will have [at minimum] the Premium Package option (PM), and many will have either the F-Sport Package option (FK or FJ for AWD models) that includes the Premium Package options, or the Luxury Package option (LL), or one of the Luxury Package options that also includes one of the Cold Weather variants (LX, LT or LY) that includes the Premium Package options.Originally Posted by esonu

Also, practically all of the GS 350s in the U.S. will include the Navigation system (NV). And, most GS 350s in the U.S. will also include the standalone Blind Spot Monitor option (BD) and the Intuitive Park Assist option (PA)...as well as a wheel upgrade (FL or FW) for the Premium Package model whereas the F-Sport and the Luxury packages come with wheel upgrades as part of their packages. Another moderately popular standalone option is the Mark Levinson sound system (ML).
And then there are a few less popular options such as the Dynamic Rear Steering (RQ), Heads-Up Display (GF), Lane Keep Assist (LK), etc. And, even more options like the Accessory Package (Z2) that has the Trunk Mat, Trunk Net, Wheel Locks and Rear Bumper Applique.
Here is the 2013 GS 350 Option List
