New Mandatory Update
The principal benefit of the Lexus App Suite is the streamlined connection between our phone and
the native Lexus Navigation. Nearly everyone (nearly every CL participant anyway) wants and expects
to "use their phone" to do the Navigation. LAS lets us do both Destination Searches prior to driving and
then to vastly improve the Voice Recognition while driving.
The fussy streaming audio features were not that interesting before Siri/Google Assistant and now that
we can use them to command streaming/iTune playlists to be played through BT or USB, who cares?

I'm sorry but I'm in team pitchforks against Lexus in this one. All the car manufacturers have had YEARS to get infotainment right, this is ridiculous and lame from such a huge company as Toyota. I use destination search and saved destinations regularly, as I like to use the navigation since the display is in my field of view when driving. Both of these Lexus apps SUCK. I have to use google maps to find the address, then copy and paste it into the enform app, hit search, VERIFY that the enform app has the right place even with the address, hit save, reconnect to my car, goto blahablah/add fifteen more steps and I'm done.
There is no reason Lexus cant find another company/ build another internal group to handle Infotainment updates and go to a subscription model for the older gen cars. People are still going to buy a new car eventually, used cars don't last forever, plus it would help them move used inventory.
Did anyone get 2 update notifications today? I got one this morning when leaving for work, and that took a couple mins to update. Then this evening leaving the office I received another message and that update took almost 20 mins. In both cases I received the update complete message.
Related note, I could care less about LAS. It’s clunky on a good day. But I love almost everything else about the car.

Taking away Pandora was the last straw for me. I never will use LAS again, such a lame system. Don't even care about this update. At least we have GROM VLINE2 as an alternative, 1000% better than anything Lexus/Toyota can give me.
Your intervention caused a fairly rapid update. The new update solved the problem caused by the first one. Yes, they didn't test the first one but they fixed it. Thank you.
Agreed with the sentiment in this thread about the Lexus infotainment system. Its probably the area of the car that could use the most work...if they kept its current driving dynamics, added a newer sexy coupe like body and a killer infotainment system, the car would be outstanding in almost all areas.
This is why a select few are turning to GROM's VL2 system for the 4GS: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...installed.html

No noticeable changes in the OS, other than they reset the notice "This will use your data plan" to show once per drive.
