I used these which claimed to be "no resistor required" & "plug & play" and they've worked perfectly since day one. No issues whatsoever and great results.
Glad I found this ... going to try something similar. I can't believe they made the rear so nice with the LED and threw a regular bulb up front. Even the ES has a nice LED strip but oh well.
I LED converted my Tundra so I'm glad stuff like this exists
in the rear yes but the front is a normal bulb unless the AWD different? Mine is a RWD and has a regular bulb up front
There are two headlight options on the 4GS. The base headlights "Standard Bi-LED" which have incandescent turn signal bulbs & then there are the upgraded headlights (more commonly equipped on AWD models for whatever reason) which are the "Premium Triple Beams" and these are full-LED, like the rear. They're so much better looking than the standard headlights. These are the same headlights that all GS F models have.
JDMs are not available in Europe Pictures in the link show resistors, but that might be just a generic listing.
Anybody tried a regular WY21W (7440) led bulb?
It will hyperflash without a resistor due to the lower pull of the LED. You can buy any LED bulb for the turn signals 7440 that fit and then add a resister. I believe both US Based companies iJDMToy and VLEDS ship their products internationally.
Curious that the bulb says 7440 but don't the GS use 7444 bulbs for the front turn signals? Or is it interchangeable?
Not interchangeable...
7443 = Front (typically used up front since its dual filament allowing that little yellow constant marker/parking light AND a turn signal blinker)
7440 = Rear (typically single filament for just your turn single blinker)
The original poster was looking for front bulbs (7443) for his '16 GS..
