2015 with Pre-Collision Package
Don’t know if this counts, but i have a 2015 hybrid with DRCC. Part of me thinks this was an unpopular option because if you remember it was really the 2016 Civic with all the bells and whistles of the luxury cars before it that really drove standardization of safety tech
When I went to buy my car I intentionally went out of my way to buy a car that did not have PCAS, LKA, etc. if any of the cars I was looking at had any of those things in it, it was an automatic disqualifier.
I mean PCAS could be KINDA useful, but even then the more I think about it, the less useful it seems. My dad's new ES350 has all that crap in it, and he hates most of it... and after driving his car, I can honestly say that if I had it, I'd be driving with most of that stuff disabled most of the time...

Because nobody intentionally bought that stuff, until it (recently) started appearing all the time on even cheap cars. So Lexus put it as an option. And most dealers, to have more wiggle room on pricing, etc, stocked cars that didn't have that stuff in it.

I don't have DRCC, and I don't feel that I need it, but I think it's a good thing with drivers preoccupied with everything but driving. Like air bags, I suspect it will become mandatory. If you ever plan to give the car to a son of daughter someday, you'll be glad for it.

PCS saved me earlier today in aggressive and heavy rush hour traffic. While I was changing lanes, the car in front of me suddenly braked quickly while I was checking my blind spot. I had already been pressing the brakes as we were traveling downhill. I'm pretty sure since I was already on the brakes, the car just took over and automatically applied full braking force and completely avoided the car in front so effortlessly. Those F-Sport brakes are impressive.
Another benefit of PCS is that as soon as it detects a potential collision and sounds the alarm, it primes the brakes so they're ready for max braking when/if you actually press them and sets the dampers + variable gear ratio steering to the most aggressive settings (basically Sport+ mode) so the car is as responsive as possible during those scenarios.
There's a reason cars are required to have these systems to reach the highest govt crash test ratings. They actually work.

come with radar cruise PCAS LKA etc as standard features.

BSM on the other hand, that **** is incredibly useful. And it actually makes driving a lot easier.

I rented a pathfinder in CA that had it, and it was marginally useful, but only because of the astronomically bad traffic dynamics of CA highways... I drive like 30K a year and this nostrum of "rear ending" someone is alien to me, outside of some weird circumstances. Thinking back, I might have hedged on that.. if there had been a 2015 that had it, it's just that I find this crap generally repulsive-. I just don't like 90% of the garbage they end up larding up cars with. I don't want a car to "save me" and autonomous features which take control away, I don't like, although I think on some of those systems you can disable the assist etc. I don't think the pathfinder even did that, it just beeped.

You’d hate the 2016+ GS cruise control then. It also takes over the steering and actively steers. I love it. Makes traffic jams a blast as under 20mph it doesn’t even ask you to put your hands on the wheel and completely takes over.
You're right - I'm sure I would hate it. I can't remember how many years it has been since I last made an effort to use cruise control.
control." I would have still signed off and drove it off the lot.... it's not utterly necessary.
