Enform App Suite and Pandora
I just talked to a Lexus rep and he told me that Pandora had made some changes to their app and there were communication problems that Lexus was not able to correct. He also said Pandora had no interest in making the necessary changes so the plan at Lexus is to eliminate the Pandora app!
Of Course, After a month of trying and finally last night it successfully got Pandora to work in the Enform App, Lexus announces-Dear Lexus Guest,Thank you for being a Lexus Enform App Suite 2.0 customer. As technology and markets change, third party application providers continuously evolve their products and services. On or around November 13th, 2018 a multimedia system update will appear on your vehicle display. After completion, Pandora® will no longer be available in Lexus Enform App Suite 2.0, as this product and service will no longer be supported by the third party application provider. In your Lexus, you can still enjoy Pandora® and other popular music applications via Bluetooth or USB connection. For your device’s compatibility and pairing instructions, please visit Lexus Mobile Link or Bluetooth FAQs. So, Pandora finally works after 5 weeks and now they want to delete it from the App Suite (or is it only the App Suite 2.0)? That's terrible! Even with all the problems, Pandora is by far the best music app in the suite.
Did you try a reboot of the stereo? Turn on car, press and hold radio on button on the dash until you get the Lexus welcome screen. Then let off the button and let it do its thing. Worth a try.
You can advance to the next song without touching the phone. Thank you for your clever observation.
All this week, using Pandora in the App Suite has resulted in an "Insufficient Connectivity" error. iHeart works fine. Unpaired phone from the car, deleted the app on my iPhone and redownloaded it and the situation does not change. Today, while driving my wife's 2013 RX350, the same thing happens - "Insufficient Connectivity". Pandora simply will not play at all through the App Suite no matter what I do. Has anyone else experienced this?
However, I believe Lexus is finally getting rid of all the issues with Pandora. A few days ago, I received a letter from Lexus announcing that effective ... (I forget the date) they will no longer be supporting Pandora as part of the Enform App.
Way to go Lexus!
I agree with JDR76. The Pandora part of the App Suite is far better than any of the other music apps. It is much superior functionally to the phone app via Bluetooth. And it has been functioning much better for the last week or two. I'll miss it when driving through Snoqualmie where XM cuts out continually.
Wonder if this had any influence with Lexus Dropping Pandora from the Enform App 2.0?
