Window Roll down using Key FOB for 2014 GS
Hi Everyone,
I have had my Lexus GS350 2014 for about a year now and I have my 50K service at my local Lexus dealership this Saturday. I requested for them to quote me a price for programming the key fob to roll down my windows. I researched this already, but could not find an answer to the question I have so I am posting it here. Does anyone know how much it would cost? Or if it is a free service to program it? I bought my Lexus used last year from a dealer that does not sell Lexus cars so I cannot ask them. I would just like to know if I can get it for free since I feel like they are going to charge a lot to activate this feature. Thanks in advanced.
UPDATE:
So I went to the dealer yesterday and spoke to my consultant about the feature to roll down my windows using the key fob. She explained to me that it is an "all-or-none" feature, which means that you cannot customize it to have front windows only or moonroof only; it has to be all the windows and the moonroof, or none at all. She also said the charge amount is $35 (specific to my dealer in Sacramento. Don't know about others). I told her I did not mind paying since my max price I was willing to pay was $50. I also mentioned to her I read online about how some people were getting the feature for free, but she explained to me it was only for 1st time customers. So after my vehicle was done being serviced, she called me to let me know it was ready for pick up and they did not charge me to activate that feature. My Lexus can now roll down all the windows using the key fob.

This is a customization feature, the manual does state it is only provided once for the new owner of the vehicle during the first appointment.
Just go on Amazon and get the MVCI cable with Toyota Techstream software - should be around $20 - it'll give you all the possible customization, along with OBD diagnostics and special maintenance operations(e.g., brake flush).

im no expert but that sounds wrong. Remote start is push 3 times and hold. Rolling windows down is press twice and hold. I would think today's computers can handle these two separate functions
This makes me feel a little better about asking them. Is your car used or brand new? my car is 4 years old already so not sure if they will work with me on this.
