Spoiler on GS Lux Package
I added the Lux spoiler to my premium GS. I bought it painted from a Lexus dealership (SS Lexus) online for $260 about three years ago. I think you can get them much cheaper on eBay now. I did it myself but I used only the tape method. I used a dremel to cut down the bolts that were attached to the spoiler so I didn't need to drill holes. Its been through all seasons, snow, highway speeds, car washes and its never budged.
OP: It was a very easy install - took me maybe 30min total and i've been very happy with the results. The spoiler came with the template but I didn't use it, I just measured across. There should be a little less than quarter inch or so between the end of the spoiler and the edge of the trunk. Install cost was very minimal - i spent $10 on extra mounting tape from Lowes so my total with the spoiler and extra tape was $270 installed.

First time poster here...I'm looking to do the same (non F-Sport Lux OEM spoiler) using the tape method for my '13 GS premium. How low did you have to dremel down the bolts? There is a piece of foam surrounding the bolts and I'm wondering if you have to dremel down to the surface of the plastic. Did you end up sanding the bolts as well? I don't want to drill the trunk so I prefer this method but I also don't want to scratch up the trunk from the jagged edge of a cut bolt either. Any recommendations?
Thanks
Thanks

I didn't have to sand it down as the bolts came off pretty clean. I was able to carefully dremel down the bolts basically down to the surface of the spoiler underside...take your time and it should come out great!
There are really very few [so-called] 'Base' model GS 350s. In fact, I do not recall ever seeing one and we have tons of GS 350s around here. Instead, they are likely the 'Premium' package. I'm guessing the most popular models are likely about even between the the Premium package and the F-Sport package with the Luxury package next and then the Base model...and most of them are RWD versus the AWD.
I think it is a regional thing. You go up into the Northeast area and there are a ****load of standard 18" rimmed GS350s. Just look at dealer CPO inventories.... lots of what I call base cars, one or two f-sport, or once in a blue moon, a lux package.
Since I got my F-Sport last August I've seen like about another 6 (4th gen) GS 350s on the road... I've only seen ONE other F-sport on the road other than mine.

Lol premium is mostly "base" as far as most nomenclature is concerned. Basically its the "trim level that doesn't have big wheels on it."

This is what I see on a regular basis.

You should dremel down as close as you can because you want the spoiler to sit flush. There is a slight curvature to the spoiler so even if you don't get it flush with the plastic, a few millimeters won't affect the installation.

I ended up just drilling mine after all. I used to do body work, so drilling and sealing wasn't as scary as to some. I had a spoiler installed on my GX 470 and no rust or issues after 10 years of ownership. It's how the factory ones are mounted on both F and non F models, and had I bought one with a spoiler it would have been drilled. I'll admit it took longer than if I had stuck it on with tape, but I figured if any force would destroy or pull it off the trunk it'd be my wife. The 2013 doesn't have an auto lift gate, and my wife is 5' 2", so she would be pushing on the spoiler to close the trunk every time.
Drilling was the safest bet in this case and the template made drilling fool proof. You do have to use a high quality sealant around the holes (per the instructions), but no moisture is getting to it if sealed properly. The same sealant is used everywhere throughout the car, so not introducing anything foreign either.
