Default Rear spoiler

I have a 2014 GS (non sport) and am thinking of installing the rear spoiler. I have seen lots of posts here about them and pics of them. I have the white pearl and just want to know from the folks who have them do they feel it really adds any wow factor to our car?

How about the side moldings??

The rear of the GS is pretty squared off, so I personally think the spoiler adds some degree of interest. I wouldn't install side moldings because I think it ruins the smooth sides of the car (but I purchased the dent removal package and have used it a couple of times).

Thanks for the input. I appreciate the comments. Definitely considering installing it and not the body moldings

I agree. The spoiler brings a little extra something to the bland rear portion of the car. (Only my opinion)

As for the side moldings, not a fan of those. (Again, just my opinion)

I think it depends on what you are looking for. Personally, I like the subtle, understated mods. I had the factory rear spoiler added a couple of weeks after I bought the car.

The body side moldings don't quite do it for me, but my GS is liquid platinum, so it might look better in a different color.

I have some lip spoiler on mine. It looks nice but the only thing is, I have pine trees near my driveway and I find a few get stuck between the spoiler and trunk if that makes sense. I had it installed through lexus.

Edit I also have the body side moldings

mrpartsman/puckhead85,
You guys have the dealership do the install? If so, what did they charge, parts and labor?

I'm actually going to be receiving the same spoiler as mrpartsman today and have contacted a local body shop to have them install it. I'm expecting it to be like $25 - $50 for the install, and I honestly think I could do it myself, but I'm just not comfortable putting the 4 holes in the to the trunk and then with the body shop they'll already have the anti-rust and silicon necessary.
I ordered it from CARid if you wanted to have a look - http://www.carid.com/2013-lexus-gs-s...er-941641.html

Hey Kgehring, Lmk how the aftermarket spoiler is. Ive been trying to find a replacement since my OEM cracked in half.... and from some pictures I think there are 7 clips/holes on the f sports trunk.

TriniGS took it up several notches with the GS (non F Sport).

Odd question - can you buy the F Sport rear spoiler and install it on the non F Sport model? Does that look cool if it can be done?
