Well they were very deceitful about the remote starter. They told me the car had it and turns out it doesn't. They also promised me free bottles of the tricoat touch up paint which I still haven't received. All of this was spoken during the sale but never on the contract. However, I have emails, text messages, and call recordings where they admit to owing it to me. I had filed a complaint with Lexus and I met Jeff Bracken in person. Apparently the manager of that dealership quit and the sales person as well. I intend to pursue this further. This dealership was very deceiving and there is a list of complaints that are in the process of being addressed. I will get my maps updated.
Hopefully you have learned to put all pertinent agreements/understandings in the contract so it is legally binding.
Not that people elsewhere can't [also] be deceitful, but the NJ/NY area is known all-too-well for that kind of nasty, unpleasant treatment to people.

Two things:

You're not missing out on much. There is no way I am going to pay $300+ every year to get updated maps.
Instead, I am going to buy the Beat-Sonic IF-04EP Smartphone Mirroring Kit (and Beat-Sonic CS5EP Front Camera Interface) so I can just have my phone mirrored on the navigation screen. That way I can use Waze or Google maps.

You bet I have learned my lesson. If it isn't on the four corners of the document, do not expect to get it. And you are right about the NJ/NY region. I was hoping that a Lexus dealership out of all the other no-name car lot dealerships would not treat me like an average sucker. Shame on me. Next time I will be more careful. Thank you for your advice.

Consider going to www.dealerrater.com to share your experience this time and
check it out again when in the market again.
My read of your posted Service Invoice clearly states Navigation, stand on them for this!
The Remote Start "RES" for the 2013 GS was port or dealer installed. The regular fob
will need to have the "Lock" button pressed three (3) times QUICKLY, hold the last press
until you see the various marker lights flash. It is common to not get it right initially but you
may actually have it. Be sure the second key is not inside the car, you are within '80 and
you hear three chirps very closely spaced. Will run for 10 minutes, can be repeated once
and the car shuts off when you open (or unlock) any door. Why?..."Safety"...
check it out again when in the market again.

I know that dealership! The one I went to is about 15 minutes away from it.
No problem. I have mine coming in Monday. Will most likely take pictures or video of the installation, although there are tons of them out there.
