Default Quick Oil & filter??

What's the weight and capacity of oil in the new GS? Is the Toyota oil filter PN 04152-YZZA3? This is for an 18 F-Sport.

If you open the hood the oil weight should be on a plaque near the engine. Mine is in big bold words 0W-20

Does anyone know the part # for the filter? Lexus parts says the A3 is not the correct filter and they get $15 for one. Seems a little pricey since it's a similar filter for my 14 RX. I would imagine someone here changes their own oil?

Some websites say it's an A1 and others are saying it's an A3. It's for a 2018. I would guess it's the same filter for 16 & 17 year models. Local parts guy acted put out since I didn't buy the car from their dealer.

You're GS 350 requires 0W-20 Synthetic engine oil. (The engine oil type is shown in the engine compartment and in the Owners Manual.) Engine oil capacity is 6.7 quarts with filter replacement.

You will want P/N 04152-YZZA1 engine oil filter for your 2018 GS 350.

2013 - 2015 GS 350 2GRFSE (GRL10/11/15/16) 306 hp: Engine Oil Filter P/N 04152-YZZA3
2016 - 2018 GS 350 2GRFKS (GRL12/16) 311 hp: Engine Oil Filter P/N 04152-YZZA1

I believe the only difference between the two is the 13-15 (A3) has an extra o-ring and plastic push piece to drain the oil from the filter housing before you remove it. The newer models don't have this feature. You remove the entire filter housing without draining it first. I have both filters (one for the Avalon and highlander and one for the GS) and in the future I will buy the older version (A3) for both cars and just not use the O-ring and plastic thingy.

edit: see below. The A3 is a taller filter than the A1.

That's my understanding as well...

I'll get one from the parts department when I pick the car up. Hoping it's the A1 since it's the same filter for my 14 RX. I don't know why my local dealer gets $14 for one.

Thanks! I gave the dealer parts dept. the vin # on the car and it is an A1. That works good since my RX takes the same filter.

The 13-15 GS uses a different filter than the 16+ GS. One is shorter than the other. I just changed the oil in my 16 GS 2 weeks ago and I used the same exact filter as the one from my wife's 2015 RX450h.

Thanks. I was skeptical so I checked. I have both filters here and the A3 is definitely taller than the A1. Thanks ULTiMaX99for the info!

For my 2017 GS350 and, my dealer used the YZZA5 filter.
This is for the 3.5L 2GR-FKS motor.

AWD or RWD?

Looking around it appears the A3 and A5 are the same filter but the A5 has the extra O-ring and plastic thingy to discharge the oil from the filter before removal.

Mine is AWD.
i believe all the Toyota filters come with the plastic drain tube and 2 gaskets included anyway.

when I had a 10 es350, that used YZZA1 filter and that came with the extra parts as well.

i believe the YZZA5 is a slightly longer filter.
do know the GS oil capacity is 6.8 quarts of oil VS 6.4 quarts for the ES350.
